Nicoleta is a strategic leader with a diverse background in corporate finance & accounting and sound risk management skills.  She brings over 20 years of experience to her clients, routinely partnering with management teams to review corporate strategy against financial tools and systems to enhance decision making and implement cost savings initiatives.  She excels at managing multiple processes, relating complex quantitative information, and driving results.  Nicoleta’s core competencies include: budgeting and forecasting, cash management, financial controls & processes, systems implementation, reporting and compliance, risk management, investor relations, and contract negotiation.

Nicoleta was previously a partner with FocusCFO, working with both for profits and nonprofits as a Fractional CFO where she was responsible for all corporate finance matters.  Prior to that, Nicoleta was a Strategic Financial & Turnaround Consultant for a microfinance organization based in Africa where she was focused on accelerating growth and improving profitability.  She has previously held senior positions across a variety of financial institutions where she led numerous financing transactions in the middle market and large corporate space and across industries, as well as managing all treasury functions for a large, sponsor-backed manufacturing company as the Finance Strategy Manager.

Nicoleta received her MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her BBA from Ohio University with a concentration in Accounting & Spanish.

In her free time, Nicoleta enjoys traveling, running, Pilates, reading (primarily nonfiction), and spending time with family and friends.
